  • What are the requirements to adopt an animal?
    Be 21+ years of age Have a legal form of photo ID Be able to spend the time and resources necessary to provide the training, medical treatment, and proper care for your pet. This includes but is not limited to yearly vaccinations, monthly heart worm treatment, and potential training classes. Be allowed to have a pet of the breed and size where you currently live
  • What are the steps to adopt an animal?
    1. Fill out an application 2. Upon application approval, schedule a meet and greet. During your meet in greet you will also have an in person interview with an adoption counselor. 3. Sleepover trial run. Whoohoo! After the first steps have been completed, you are ready for an official sleepover. Dependent on the success of the sleepover, you've got yourself a new family member!
  • What is the adoption fee?
    Our adoption fee is $150. This fee puts a small dent in the amount of money required to properly feed and vet each of our rescues.
  • Why do you charge an adoption fee?
    This fee puts a very small dent in the amount of money required to properly feed and vet each of our rescues. It cost several hundred dollars to treat each animal we take in. We do not make any money from the adoption fees. Charging an adoption fee also helps us determine the commitment level of potential adopters.
  • How do I surrender an animal?
    We only house three animals at a time and remain and often remain at capacity. Please reach out to admin@barkparkrescue.com to see if we have any availability.
